Barely recovered from the memorable third edition of CLUB last weekend, Couleur Café turns all eyes back on the festival with a fresh batch of 12 new acts.
Kicking off on Friday, the talented Jamaican artist Masego will grace the stage with his unique TrapHouseJazz style, a fusion of cello, drums, piano, guitar, and saxophone. Some grade A rap will follow with Dikke, an emerging talent closely following the footsteps of Flemish hip-hop icons.
Saturday will feature Brussels-based Morgan who tends to captivate his crowd with a sweet RnB infusion of jazz, soul & funk nuances over pulsating electro beats. Then there’s the young British prodigy Cristale, a rapper, poet, visual artist, and student with a trademark spitfire of rhymes. Next is Congolese superstar Ferre Gola who will showcase his unmatched mastery of Congolese rumba. Wrapping up the day, Roots Explosion promises an explosive fusion of folk and dub through their sound system.
Sunday's lineup will feature British rapper Lord Apex, whose sound spans from rap to alternative hip-hop. Also scheduled: South African powerhouse Sho Madjozi, hailing from Limpopo, will take on the Osseghem Park. Jah Lil, carrying the reggae torch, will spread messages of love and resilience, while Sanga Mama Africa will bring a burst of optimism with her reggae-roots tunes and Jamaican rhythms featuring Kenyan singer, Black Omolo. Additionally, Biga*Ranx, already announced, will also take on the role of beatmaker under his alter ego, Telly*. Austin Millz, on the other hand, will close the festival in style with a raving set reflecting his roots in Harlem, transcending the boundaries of hip-hop, RnB, soul, and dance music.
